Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 20, 2026

Hug Construction (“Hug,” “we,” “us”) builds and remodels homes and commercial spaces in Spokane, Washington and North Idaho. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, hugconstruction.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, call us and we will explain it plainly.

Information you give us

When you fill out a form on our site, use the chat, request an estimate, or sign up for our newsletter, we collect what you provide: typically your name, email address, phone number, project location, and details about your project. If you call or text us, we keep a record of that contact. We use this information to respond to you, prepare estimates, manage projects, and stay in touch about work you have asked about.

Our web forms and chat are operated through Pipedrive, our customer relationship platform, and submissions are stored there on our behalf.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising. Specifically:

  • Google Analytics collects information about how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, time on page, general location, and the type of device and browser used.
  • Google Ads measures whether our advertising leads to actions like form submissions and phone calls, and supports remarketing, which means you may see our ads on other sites and services after visiting ours.
  • We also measure clicks on phone numbers, text links, and email links on the site so we know which contact methods people actually use.

These tools set cookies in your browser, including Google cookies such as _ga and _gcl. They do not give us your name or identity; they help us understand traffic and advertising performance in aggregate.

How we use information

  • To respond to inquiries and provide estimates and construction services
  • To communicate about your project
  • To send occasional marketing, such as our newsletter or mailers, which you can opt out of at any time
  • To measure and improve our website and advertising
  • To meet legal, insurance, and licensing obligations

What we share, and what we do not

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us run the business, such as Google (analytics and advertising), Pipedrive (customer management), our website host, and our email and mailing providers. These providers process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition.

Your choices

  • Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works without them.
  • Google ad personalization: you can opt out at adssettings.google.com.
  • Google Analytics: Google offers a browser opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Email and mail: every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to remove you from our mailing list at any time.

Our site does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, as no common standard for them has been adopted.

Data retention and security

We keep contact and project records as long as we need them to serve you and to meet legal, warranty, and insurance obligations, which in construction can span years. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No website or system can be guaranteed fully secure, and we will not pretend otherwise, but we take the protection of your information seriously.

Children

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

Our site links to and embeds content from other services, such as YouTube videos and our client portal at Buildertrend. Those services have their own privacy policies, and this policy does not cover them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here with a new effective date. Significant changes will be noted plainly at the top of the page.
