Hug Construction · North Carolina

Client Focused
Residential and commercial construction

Hug Construction has spent 25 years building and remodeling homes, and we’re now doing that work across North Carolina, from the Triangle to Hillsborough and the counties around it. Same approach: fixed bids, week-by-week schedules, and an update in your inbox every Friday. Bring us a finished set of plans or a rough idea. Either works.

Where do you want to start?

Residential projects

Custom homes, remodels, additions, and ADUs across the Triangle and central North Carolina. Most homeowners come to us with a rough idea and a long list of questions. That’s a fine place to start.

Commercial construction

Ground-up builds, renovations, and tenant improvements, run with the same fixed bids and weekly communication we bring to homes.

Build Better resources

Not ready to talk to a builder yet? Build Better is our library of cost guides, videos, and regional planning articles. Research first, call later. We get it.

The Triangle

Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill: established neighborhoods, infill lots, additions, and city permitting. Many Triangle projects start with an existing house and one question: what can this become?

Hillsborough & rural NC

Building on your own land around Hillsborough and the surrounding counties: acreage, wooded and pond lots, wells and septic, and getting the house sited right. Out here the land usually writes the first chapter of the plan.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great experience overall. The quote, design, and build team were easy to work with. Good communications really helped us out in getting the build completed quicker than the initial plan. Our detached ADU build, overall, went pretty smoothly, and quickly. We loved working with HUG and would do so again.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The entire team at Hug has been incredible. The office staff was very helpful (above abd beyond) throughout the process of making selections and answering financial questions. The work crews from demolition to finish work were skilled, professional and polite and always left the work site cleaned up at the end of the day. Our project manager, Matt was always very responsive when we called with questions or issues . He maintained a very active role throughout the project . Matt was "Client Focused!" Communication throughout the process was very transparent either through direct communication with staff when possible or 24/7 utilizing the Buildertrend application. We are very happy with our new bathroom, walk-in closet, family room floors and slider!
