Recreation
There’s really only one place in this category that you need to know about and that is Manito Park. It has everything in its 90-acre expanse.
Gardens From formal symmetrical European-style flower beds to Japanese gardens, to rose, lilac, and perennial gardens, you’ll find it all on these beautifully maintained grounds.

Playgrounds Both “upper” and “lower” playgrounds offer various equipment for children of all ages to run around and expend their energy. The upper Manito playground was the first in Spokane to install play equipment with ramps and elevated areas for children in wheelchairs.
Sledding Another popular winter pastime in Manito Park is sledding. Children, adults, and sometimes pets all enjoy hopping on a sled and sliding down the hills in the park. It’s a fun way to enjoy the annual snowfall in the community.
